Disaster relief and effect mitigation has always been the shortcoming of many Philippine presidents.  They know that the Philippines is situated in a frequent confluence of typhoons but the government has done nothing - nada - ZILCH in minimizing their impact on our crops and people.  

Short of harnessing retrofitted surface-to-air missiles to stop typhoons,  we have to reprioritize disaster preparedness and food security.  We are in a precarious position not just socially and politically but also geographically...what we need is a conscious effort to master whatever adversities have been placed upon us and rise above calamity.</description>
